Welcome to Quizell: From Signup to Your First Live Quiz
Short summary:
Using a coffee store as the example, this walkthrough builds a product quiz from a single prompt, wires it to the catalog, connects email and puts it live. Everything a new account needs to go from signup to a working quiz.
Transcript:
- Hey there. Welcome to Quizell. Quizell lets you build a quiz that recommends the right product for every visitor. So let's get a working one for you in 5 minutes.
- I run a coffee store on Shopify and I want to stop guessing what people want. So I'll describe the quiz I need. I want to ask people how they brew their coffee, how strong they like it, and whether they're buying for themselves or as a gift. Then I want to recommend the right product from my catalog, and capture their email before showing results. Once I'm happy with this, I submit. A few seconds later, the questions are there. Four of them, options written out, plus an email capture step and a results page.
- First, the look. I use the AI design editor to apply an initial layer of improvement. Then I fine-tune by hand until I get the look and feel I'm after. I work on both the desktop and mobile versions, so the quiz is fully responsive for my quiz takers.
- That capture step doesn't have to be just an email. I can ask for a name, a phone number, a date, an address, whatever this business actually needs. And if what I need isn't in the list, I can build a custom input for it.
- Now, the AI doesn't decide for me which answer recommends what. So I wire the product match. French press drinkers see these beans. Espresso drinkers see those. And anyone buying a gift gets routed to the gift sets.
- Let's take it as a customer would. French press, strong, and buying for myself. And there it is: a specific recommendation, not a category page. That's the whole point. Same store, same catalog, but the customer gets sent to one product instead of forty.
- Behind the scenes, every answer is stored. So I'm not just selling. I know how my customers brew, what strength they like, and who's buying gifts. That's information you can't get from a page view.
- From the integrations panel, I can connect Klaviyo in a few clicks, and those same answers route straight through, so my email flows can actually use them. Someone who told me they drink decaf never gets sent espresso campaigns again. If you'd rather not add another tool, Quizell has email automation built in, so you can send a follow-up from here.
- Klaviyo is one of over 35 native integrations available on Quizell. They cover marketing and CRM, payments, automations, ads and analytics, meetings, and ecommerce platforms themselves. Plus, you can access another 8,000 or so through Zapier.
- When you're happy, hit share. Copy the script and embed it on your store. You can drop it on a landing page, or simply copy the preview link and put it in your bio. The choice is the same on Shopify, WooCommerce, Wix, Webflow, BigCommerce, or even a site you built yourself.
- And it's not locked once it's live. If I notice people dropping off at question three, for example, I can rewrite it or add a new option, and the live quiz updates without republishing. I can also A/B test different quizzes to find the best-performing flow.
- Product quizzes are just one thing you can build with Quizell. People also use it to build service quizzes, lead generation funnels, onboarding funnels and AI-powered personal shopping assistants. So the question is: what do you want to know about your customers?
